It would appear that my grandfather Nathan did not have any slaves. Spence and Manloff were half brothers. Spence's mother was Director Hall and father was Thomas Gregory. Probably some of your ancestors were slaves owned by the Hall's as there are wills that indicate that slaves were given to other memebers of the family, Spence Hall's grandfather was Spence Hall and his grandmother was Director Hall and their wills can be found online at the Currituck site Sorry Ann Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
