What I have on the line---some of which I have received from unconfirmed sources: Thomas Calhoun "Cal" Sanderson b. 6 Nov 1850 in Moyock, NC d. 4 Oct 1923. He married Ida Norman Morgan b. 13 Jan 1855 in Shawboro, NC d. 26 May 1936. He was the son of: Thomas Lindsey Sanderson (1817 - 27 Feb 1899) and his wife Charity Jane Northern. They married 2 Sep 1847. Thomas Lindsey Sanderson was the son of: Daniel Lindsey Sanderson (1778 - 6 Mar 1822) and his wife Julia Jarvis. Daniel Lindsey Sanderson was the son of: John Sanderson, Sr. (d. bet. Nov 1802 - May 1803) and Susannah Lindsey. John Sanderson, Sr. was the son of: Thomas Sanderson (b. bef. 1722 - d. bet 30 Jan & 28 May 1778) and his wife Ann LNU. Thomas Sanderson was the son of: Joseph Sanderson (b. ca. 1746) and his wife Mary Tooly. Joseph Sanderson was the son of Richard Sanderson, Sr. (b. ca 1640 - d. 1718) and Unknown. I don`t believe Richard and his second wife Damaris LNU had children. T. C. Sanderson and Ida Morgan Sanderson had a son named Philip Morgan Sanderson, who I believe was the "cousin Philip" my mother remembered from her youth. He would have been her father's cousin. She did say the farm on which they visited him was in Moyock. My family was the Morgans. (Ida was the daughter of Joseph Burgess Morgan and Ann Lamb Dozier, of Indian Ridge) In my explorations, I have run across more on the Northern's, but did not keep it. Thanks for your information. It is quite interesting. I have collected many pieces of information but as of now I cannot organize and connect the Northern's. There are many John's and Philip's. My name is Joseph Clare Nothern and I have traced my ancestors back to a Walter B. Nothern. I find him in Ohio in 1810 and then he moves to Indiana. He was born in North Carolina in 1784. The Northern's in Virginia have been researched and organized but I have never found any listed family tree of the Northern's who lived in North Carolina. I have seen the name Nothern listed in Currituck and in Rowen Counties. So I have decided to try to organize the Northern's in North Carolina to identify where my Walter might fit in.
