Long story short, we had a Cannon in our family. A man that we share DNA with is a Cannon from Tennessee. His roots he can trace to 1792, JOhn Cannon from NC/TN. I can only get as far as my 4 ggrandfather, Robert Gibbs, b.1818 (claims Washington County, PA)-d.1896 (Sebewa, MI). He married Mariam Ames Jan 1, 1840 in Holmes County, OH. They didn't seem to live near any of their relatives. I feel like he ran away from his family.
