Regarding Harold Dinsmore request I have no information about Mr. Dinsmore's death other than what you already have. Newspapers would include the Daily Advance in Elizabeth City, NC (don't know if it was operating in 1944) and the Dare County Times of Manteo, NC. I am assuming the D C Times is what is now known as the Coastland Times in Manteo. Another newspaper that could have carried that story would be the Virginian Pilot in Norfolk, VA. Hope this helps.
