Built and Reg. in NC. Owner Samuel SALYEAR. Listed Oct. 15, 1784. There was a John BURR in 1788, Master of the Sally 25 tons, built and reg. in NC owned by Thomas Cooke. Only surname variables that came close to Burris. I am not familiar with the Burris varibles, so went through all the B's and these were the only spellings that looked close to me. Sorry. William was married to Judith Marmaduke they has three children William II (b) who married Martha Wolley and Martha Ward.
