Unsure if this is the same line, but if you look at the Currituck website wills, look at Joseph B. Morgan's. His Daughter, Ida, married a T.C. Sanderson and was left Morgan's "Dozier" farm. Both T.C. and Ida show up on the 1860 census as age 10 and 5 respectively. T. C. in same household with T.L. Sanderson, age 43, worth $50,000. If this is your line, would love more information, as Morgan was my great-great grandfather. Thank you! If I remember correctly, he gives two thirds of a Brigatine to his son Richard and one third ownership to his nephew Joseph and 1 one-half interest to each of them on another vessel that he owned.. Also property on Hatteras and Roanoke Island. Plantation in Pasquotank County and other properties in the area. None listed on the will as being in Currituck. Do you know how to get to the Currituck site. Contact me directly at chrele4@yahoo.com if you need more information, as i do not review this site for several weeks at the time. There a many trees on Ancestry on this family but a lot of ambiguities as well. It is difficult to tell who is correct. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Richard Sanderson and a Richard Sanderson Esqr. listed on several of the Currituck Tax Records (1696-1718) with an indication that Richard Sanderson Esqr. paid the taxes on the estate of the elder Richard in 1718. Some records show them as Sr. and Jr. The property was located in the Powells Point area of the county during that period. Powells Point took up much of the lower half of the county. Between the two Richard Sandersons, they had about 2100 acres each in 1718. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
