Hi all, I'm looking for help with my Cumberland County connections. Generation 4 My grandfather was William Woodward Branch, born in Sanford, NC in 1907, died 1958 in Birmingham, AL. He married Alice Lucille Hornbuckle, born 1911 in Bessemer City, NC, died 1997 in Victoria, TX. William Woodward Branch was the oldest of four children born to William McNeal Branch and Lillian Pearl Woodward, who married in 1906. William Woodward 1907 - 1958 James Lee 1909 - ca. 1911 Emma Virginia 1912 - 1991 Samuel Parrish 1917 - 2001 Generation 3 William McNeal Branch was born in Fayetteville, NC in 1880 and died sometime around 1918-19, place unknown, possibly from the flu. Lillian Pearl Woodward was born 1882 in Raleigh, NC, died 1961, New Bern, NC. William McNeal Branch was the 2nd child of William McNeal (Mack?) Branch and Virginia Ruth Vann, who married in 1875. Stella May 1877 - 1878 William McNeal 1880 - ca. 1918 Claude/Claudie Lee 1882 - 1907 Callie Belle 1883 - 1970 Lila Gray 1888 - 1916 Louise K/Katie Louise 1892 - 1980 Generation 2 William McNeal (Mack?) Branch was born 1852 and died before 1914, places unknown. Virginia Ruth Vann was born in NC in 1860, died 1926 in Fayetteville. William McNeal (Mack?) Branch was the son of M Branch and L Unknown. Any siblings are unknown. Generation 1 M Branch is said to have lived in Robeson County, NC. He died after Nov. 11, 1875. L Unknown died before Nov. 11, 1875. I am specifically looking for the following information, but would welcome any input or suggestions: * confirmation of birth/death dates for James Lee (Generation 4) * death date/place/cause for William McNeal Branch (Generation 3) * any information about William McNeal (Mack?)
