The two families were very close and lived next door during the war...around 1865 on to 1879 when John died. He and Elizabeth are buried in Shiloh Cemetery Alabama but he was from Nash, NC. born in Cumberland. Her father was Louis Hamilton Ray... more later. I am traveling and don't have all my data.
