Martha "Patsy" GILBERT b bet 17901800 NC James GILBERT could have been the son of James and Ceily GILBERT of Cumberland CO., NC Edith UNKNOWN GILBERT married 2nd James RENFROW, Dushee SHAW was their bonds man in Cumberland CO., NC. Children of Edith and James RENFROW James F. RENFROW & Rebecca J.RENFROW Edith married 3rd Unknown SWINDLE in White CO., TN by 1830. Edith, son James RENFROW dau Rebecca RENFROW where in Lincoln Co., TN by 1840. Rebecca by that time was married to James WRIGHT. Edith could have been a JONES. Other names associated with this family where PYLANT, SPENCE, JOHNSON, STEPHENSON, & JONES. Also JONES of Wake CO., NC. Many of the above surnames appear in middle TN by 1830.
