    3. I would like to exchange information with you about Hudlin/Hudling/Hudnal Huffum/Hufham. I have found several other spellings of the name. There is a will dated 15 Mar 1790 in Bladen Co. NC in which he names his wife and children. Please email me at [email protected] . 3. From "Bladen County, North Carolina Abstracts of Early Deeds 1738-1804" by Holcomb (you can order it online, do a google search for the name of the book and author): "5 March 1803, Baley Sutton of Sampson Co., N.C. to Joshua Johnson of Duplin Co., for 600 silver dollars...land between the Lake Bay and Harrison Creek Swamp, 640 A granted to Margaret Johnson 17 Sept 1794, and other tracts ... Baley Sutton {Seal}, wit: Jno Hufham, Jacob Johnston. Prov. by Jacob Johnson, June Term 1804." From "Colony of North Carolina 1735-1764 Abstracts of Land Patents" Vol One by Margaret Hofmann, p. 393: "Richard Huffman and John Huffman 18 Novermber 1760 200 acres in New Hanover County on the East Side of South River Oppostie to Elizabeth Merideths Home Place, joining (a point) beyond a Branch and the River below a Fording Place" That's all I can find in my small collection. You should locate the originals and read them carefully. Abstracts are filtered info from the original and clues YOU might think important can be omitted. Steve E.
