    3. Donnie and Mary, Do you know what John McPherson married the Flora Kelly? Were they married in KY or NC? Do you know anything at all about him? I have done a lot of research on the various McPherson families of Cumberland and the region. Perhaps we can compare notes. Were Beaverdam Presbyterian Church and Buffalo Presbyterian Church the same church? I'm pretty ignorant of those congregations in that part of the region. My ancestor Turquill McNeill of the Buffalo area was my ancestor, and it appears he may have attended or been a member of Beaverdam Presbyterian Church. His sons and a son-in-law attended. Duncan's wife, Mary, was born approximately 1764, and died Dec 6, 1859 in Calloway Co Kentucky. She and several (probably all) of her children are buried in South Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Calloway Co Kentucky along with a lot of the Clark children and later generations. I also know that several other families with ties to Cumberland and Moore Co ended up in Calloway Co (I know there are Wicker's buried in South Pleasant Grove Cemetery) Duncan Kelly b 1781 died 1876 married to Sarah b 1792 Daniel Kelly b 1793 d May 19, 1873 his headstone is marked as born in Scotland Miles b Sept 15, 1803 d Jan 14, 1869 his headstone marked also as born in Scotland Sallie/Sarah b 1806, d May 7, 1872 Flora b 1800 d 1845 married to John McPherson who was born 1803 and died 1837 There are a lot of gaps. I would really like to solve the mystery of Alexander Clark's parentage or who his siblings are. I am also interested in hearing from someone who has more information on the Kelly, Clark, Thompson, Shaw, or McPherson lines that connect. I have (somewhere) a bunch of stuff on the McIver line.

    1. Re: [NCCUMBER] William Hair and Willis West Re-Eliza Jane Hair- Woodrow
    2. Woodrow What was the birth and death dates of your Eliza Jane Hair? My Guilford Hair was born abt 1813 in Sampson Co., he is mentioned in his grandfather William Hair's will in Sampson Co, it is possible she is a cousin of Guilfords. Guilford did have a daughter name Eliza. Yes I live in Fayetteville, close to Hope Mills, my husband Leonard Williams is from around the Wade-Eastover area. I have a daughter that lives in Stedman, she married Cecil Kelly Culbreth, Jr. May I ask what is your name and your wife's name. Hope to hear from you. Helen
