    3. Fran, Thank you so much for that link to GenealogyBank-- I found several Obits that I needed including my paternal grandfather's which contains info on his siblings, as well as his birthdate/location and providing the married names of my Aunts which I never knew. If that had been all I had found it would have made the time searching on there worthwhile but I was fortunate to find half a dozen other items that will aid in my research, too So a BIGGGGGGGG heartfelt THANK YOU,Fran and Happy Hunting!! 3. Thanks to all who have responded to my posting seeking a Wilson Gillis connection with Charles Gillis Wilson b. NC Jul 26, 1826. Hazel, thanks for your kind words and so happy I was able to help you some years ago. Yes, the family you noted in the 1850 Cumberland County census is that of Charles Gillis Wilson and Margaret (McCraney) Wilson. The census shows the family living in the Western part, however the oldest child, Daniel James Wilson wrote that he was born in Fayetteville. 1850 census also shows Margaret's father, Neill McCraney in the Western section. When you get to their site go under Red Tower Index, has listing of all 27 Volumes and content. Hope to hear from you. Helen _http://www.clangalbraith.org/_ (http://www.clangalbraith.org/)
