We have corresponded before and I appreciate your help with the Elvey Lewis, Luten and Lee lines. My gr-gr-grandfather was Henry King (1792-1854), father of Abner H. King who married Elizabeth Lewis (sister of Emeline Lewis), dau. of Elvey Lewis. I see that your message connects Abner's King line (my own) to Chowan Co, NC. Do you have any proof or evidence of that? Also, do you have any information (whether or not proven) as to Henry's parents, siblings or other NC family? I believe that Henry had a brother, Lewis King, who died 1815 in Morgan Co, GA, as a result of wounds or illness incurred in the War of 1812 (Creek Indian Wars?). This Lewis King's wife was Martha Flournoy. They may have had a sister, Mary King Vining, wife of Benjamin Vining, who served as admr. of Lewis King's estate. And I believe that their mother was Susannah King, widow, of Burke Co, GA, ca. 1805. Susannah was probably related to a Thomas King of Burke Co, GA, ca. 1805. My gr-grandfather, Lewis Hilliard King (son of Henry King), married Eveline Lewis, dau. of Necy Lewis and Rebecca Eason Thigpen. Rebecca was the dau. of Rev. Joseph Thigpen and Clara Eason Thigpen, who came to Alabama from Johnson/Pitt Co, NC. I have been looking for any possible connection between our Elvey Lewis and my Necy Lewis. If you or anyone else can help with any of this, it would be much appreciated.
