I have an old article that I found on microfilm on this from the "The Orient Newspaper" in 1897 about this fishery. Dr. William Rhodes Capehart was owner at the time, he was assistant surgeon during the "Civil War". As I remember it was the largest herein fishery in the world during this time period.
