He is listed on the 1850 census in Perquimans (Yeopim) as married to Harriet (Powell), age 29, and his mother-in-law is also listed living there - Mary Powell (age 47). These Powells may have originated in Chowan County. Mary Powell would have been born in approx. 1803 and her daughter Harriet (or Pollie as she may have been called) was born approx. 1821. Am looking for Mary's husband and any other children. Thanks for any info anyone can provide. Judy
