NC Census. He was born in 1782. The only Simpson with a male that age in 1800 is a Sarah Simpson in the 1800 Chowan Co. Census. Charles' wife's name was Elizabeth (last name not known) They moved to Giles Co. TN by 1820 and to Choctaw Co., MS by 1840 and they are both buried there. If anyone has any information on any of these Simpsons I'd be most grateful.
