Hofmann's Province of NC 1663-1729 for a land patent to a John Hathhorn on 26 Feb 1711/12 describing 470 acres on the Morattock River pocoson in Chowan precinct, joining the mouth of a Cypress swamp, the River Pocoson, and a second Cypress Swamp. I can't find Pocoson in my atlas. I know that Morattock usually meant the Roanoke River. Can someone help me locate this tract?
