Hi Norma, I may be able to help you on this one. . Edward Moseley (d. 1749) succeeded John Lawson as surveyor general from 1710 to about 1730. He was Commissioner for the North Carolina-Virginia, North Carolina-South Carolina, and Granville-North Carolina boundary lines. Moseley was a member of the Council, a prominent lawyer, Public Treasurer, Chief Baron of the Exchequer, and Associate Justice of North Carolina. The original is currently held in the manuscript collection @ Joyner Library here @ East Carolina University. If you will go to the following website you can view the map. I am a graduate history student @ the university. One of my classes has a webpage with the map on it as we are using it for research in a slave narrative we are currently in the process of annotating. http://core.ecu.edu/hist/cecelskid/chowanmap.htm Regards, Theresa Nelson
