She was born in 1817 in Chowan County, NC. Prudence married John Thomas Backus on Aug. 23, 1839. Their children were Martha Ann, Mary, Dorsey James, Humphrey, Sarah, John Thomas Jr., and Manah. Any help is greatly appreciated. I will be happy to share what information I have.
