Came in late (subscriber) on these lookups I'm reading about--apparently someone has a book of Cherokee County resident ancestors. Would thank you in advance for checking for Archibald Fair and providing any info. He moved to Cherokee from Burke circa 1840, showing up first in that year's census as "Archibal Fir," then as "Archibald Farr" in 1850 and finally "Archibel Fair" in 1860. His wife was Hally (or Holly) and had about 8 children. They lived in the Hot House District.
