Diane I believe you have just answered your own question. If those of us who have sent you such emails, just think about it...we will know how absolutely thoughtless it is, to request such lookups from anyone. If newbies have sent such requests, perhaps they need to query some of us privately, so that we can either offer help, or refer them to help links for those new to genealogy.
