I, too, am researching the name Roberts. My maternal grandfather's grandmother was Mary E. Roberts from NC. I do not know anything about her family, but she married James R. Jones on Sep 14, 1872. I think she was born Jan 18, 1855. Her family bible is in possession of her grandson (Tommy Jone). He is my great uncle. Does any of this ring any bells with you? TIA, Colleen Woodstock
