Diane, I have the exact same problem as you. Do I work on updating my webpages or answer the unending e-mail queries. I set up a "Contact" page on my website, which provides a list of guidelines that a person should consider before writing me (entirely optional though). I have found that the "Contact" web page has helped tremendously. It explains (in a nice way) that I get more e-mail than I can ever answer in a timely fashion, and that I have to try and balance my e-mail with my webpage updates.
