The surnames were Barnards, Smarts, and Bettis'. The Bettis' were raised in Cherokee County, NC, around Marble or Andrews. The Barnards were in different counties in western NC: Clay Co., and Macon Co., NC. The Smarts were from Haywood Co., Cherokee Co., and Macon Co., NC. Any help would be greatly appreciated.Belinda
