In the 1870 census of Cherokee Co NC In the Notla or Nottla Twp Parker, Alexander 40 Parker, Louarra 29 Parker, Reuben 3 Rice, William 8 Rice, Jessee 6 In the Shoal Creek Twp Ingram, John 69 Ingram, Mary 60 Ingram, Harriett 35 Ingram, Arminda 25 Ingram, Dulcena 22 Parker, John 19 Parker, Jossee 17 Parker, Harriet 15 Parker, Elen 13 Parker, Mary 11 Is this the same Alexander Parker in 1870 and where is the wife Mary Ingram? These are the children of Alexander & Mary living with their grandparents in 1870. Did Alexander Parker remarry by 1870 or is this another Alexander Parker? And if Alexander did remarry, why did the children live with the grandparents from then on?
