These are the children of Alexander & Mary living with their grandparents in 1870. In the 1880 census of Cherokee Co NC in the Nottla or Notla Twp Parker, Alexander 50 Parker, Mary L. 36 Parker, Reuben 13 son Parker, Lidda C. 9 daughter Parker, Laura L. 5 daughter Parker, Alfred 1 son Rice, William H. 18 stepson Rice, Jesse 17 stepson and in 1880 in the Shoal Creek Twp Ingram, John 75 Ingram, Mary 76 Ingram, Harriet 45 daughter Ingram, Sarah 32 daughter Parker, John 27 grandson Parker, Mary 17 grandaughter In the 1900 census of Cherokee Co NC Parker, John 49 born 10-1850 Ingram, Harriet 65 aunt born 11-1834 Parker, Ellen 38 born April 1862 Now my question is. Did Alexander Parker remarry by 1870 or is this another Alexander Parker? And if Alexander did remarry, why did the children live with the grandparents from then on? If anyone thinks these names sound familer, I would like to hear from you. Any Help would be greatly appreciated. David Hughes Got a hobby to share or just want a personal home page ?
