    3. Hi Lillian, There may be nothing to this, but I hope there is. In the Haywood county census for 1840 there is a William Buice with family members about the write age (acounting for the 10 year time difference) for the William Buce listed in the 1850 Cherokee co. Do you think your Buce migrated from Haywood to Cherokee county? The reason I am asking this is because I am looking for my g-g-g-grandfather, Charles Evander Buce who was born in NC about 1826. His tombstone in Siloam Springs, AR, said he was born in Cherokee county, but Cherokee county had not been formed at that time. My first direct reference of Charles was in the 1850 AR census, where he, his wife and month old child, were living with another family Peter Maltba. All the adults were from N.C. I have often thought that Charles was the first male child of William and Pernina. The William Buice in Haywood county had a male child about the right age. Any thoughts?
