Thanks Cathy, I don't think the ages work...but I'll hang on to this....thanks!!! I do have a separate FTW file of STANDRIDGES that I started collecting last summer....which I believe includes the line down in Lumpkin Co., GA....and no one has a Leathy......but I'll keep on looking.....I plan to go back to Murphy courthouse and look for other documents that would give a reason for this deed. It is odd that this deed in 1856 [..I may have said 1853 before....but it's actually 1856] only included 2 of her existing 6 children....why not the other 4??? I found this intriguing at the time I unearthed this deed...but didn't have time to pursue it last trip to Murphy.... Leathy ROBERTS filed a claim in Polk Co, TN for damage to property during Civil War.[TN State Archives records].......what does this mean????
