In the 1900 US Census (Muprphy, NC), Lillie Jordan was married to Calvin H. Bishop. She had two children, Jake A. Jordan (age 10) and John Jordan (age 6). I assume Lillie was married to a Jordan earlier prior to marrying Bishop. Since she was born in NC, I assume there must have a Jordan or two in the vicinity up until at least 1894. In the 1850s there seems to have been a migration to northern GA - Pickens, Gilmer, Cherokee, and Fannin counties. You might check there. Paul Carter
