    3. Dear Lincoln friends, One of the most useful tools for the genealogist, aside from primary records, is a cemetery register. Often, the best key to tracing ancestors is a cemetery survey, particularly if the graves are listed row by row. I felt that a cemetery page would be of immediate use to Lincoln County researchers, so, as of today, one has been posted: http://www.rootsweb.com/~nclincol/cemeteries.htm I ask your patience as I fine tune it. I would like to direct your attention to a photo-documentary page on the Ramsour-Reinhardt (or Reinhardt-Ramsour) cemetery. I had this on the Catawba County site until I could properly place it on the Lincon page. This page: http://www.rootsweb.com/~nclincol/cemeteries/Reinhardt-RamsourCem.htm contains photos of the dedication ceremony as well as photos of every grave in the cemetery. This page is also referenced from the Lincoln County Historical Association page: http://www.rootsweb.com/~nclincol/LCHA.htm I hope to have other photos of cemeteries as they become available. I want to thank Bill Floyd and Terry Waldrop for their tireless work in transcribing the many Western North Carolina cemeteries. Also, I want to thank the many others who participated in cemetery surveys. I have tried to acknowledge each and every one of them by name on the cemetery page. I will be happy to post and all submitted cemetery-related information on this page, particularly the un-surveyed cemeteries. In addition to supplying me with material, please feel free to inject suggestions and criticisms. Derick S. Hartshorn Lincoln NCGenWeb page host
