In the 1850 Catawba County, Newton Census was Jesse Petiller/ Petillo/Patillo age 25 a wife Melinda I believe age 17. I am searching for any living family memeber off this line, His father was James Petillo from Lincoln Co., Jesse was the son of James and Margaret Ikerd born out of wedlock. It is very important for me to find a member of this Petillo line. The father James, moved back to Tenn and died in Salt Lake City, Utah. Jesse was born about 1825 time frame in Lincoln co. N.C. I do not know where he ended up living after the 1850 census. He was in Catawba County at that time. I am searching for anyone off this line for DNA purposes. I am willing to pay for a 12 marker DNA on any Petillo line from Lincoln or Catawba County, N.C. A rare gene has been found in another member who is a half brother to Jesse, It is extremely important to see if these two lines carry this gene. Thanks
