Derick, Thanks for the suggestion. Though time consuming, even with my new road runner, I've been able to piece together how many children Michael Bolick may have had in 1840. A woman old enough to be his wife is listed but drat, the 1840 census doesn't name her. With all the kids they had you'd think the poor woman would get some credit. What was also interesting were the people who lived around him, names I see everyday in my research. I appreciate your kind help. Cynthia
