Dear friends, If you have enjoyed the history of the Hoke family in book "In the Name of God Almighty, I ... Hoke Bequeath.." by Jean S. Berlekamp and Hope Hoke McConnell. Jean and her daughter, Miriam are working on a new edition, currently being finalized. The first edition had an abbreviated section on Frederich Hoke and the Catawba Valley Hokes. This time, the authors hope to have a much more comprehensive section of the Hokes who populated and influenced the development of Conover, North Carolina and the Catawba Valley.
