Hi Susan: I recently returned from Newton, NC. All of my Throneburg line is from Catawba County. Suggestion: The Catawba County Public library is located in Newton. The Genealogy section is on the 2 ND floor. They were very helpful to me. Another Suggestion: Contact "Derick" at e-mail ([email protected]) Derick maintains the Genealogy web page for Catawba County. He lives in Conover, NC which is less than 5-min. drive to Newton. He met me at the Library and assisted me in location the information I needed. He is a super nice person and I know he will help. Hope I have been some help, and good luck in your search.
