Jarrett B. 1791 & Elizabeth Hildebrand B. 1794 line could help me? I am trying to research their youngest daughter an Elizabeth C. Jarrett B. abt. 1839. I have no proof, but I think this is my GG Grandmother, Caroline Jarrett Garland Wilson B. 14 Feb 1838 D. 06 Jan 1906. On the 1850 census for Yancey Co., NC I found a John (59 yrs) & Elizabeth Jarrett (52 yrs) with a daughter Elizabeth C. Jarrett (11 yrs). On the 1860 census in Yancey Co. only John & Elizabeth are in the household, all the children have moved out. On the same census an Isaac Garland is with a Caroline Garland (21 yrs) and a son Charles Garland (1 yrs). Isaac Harvey Garland, Caroline's first husband was killed during the civil war. On the 1870 census for Yancey Co. Caroline Garland is listed only with her children. But nearby a Daniel E. Jarrett and wife Docia are listed and so is an Eli Jarrett with wife Catherine. Elizabeth C. Jarrett had brothers named Danie! l Elisha Jarrett who married Caroline Theodosia "Dosia" Honeycutt and Eli Marcus Jarrett married Catherine Baker. I believe Elizabeth C. Jarrett is Elizabeth Caroline Jarrett or Caroline Jarrett, going by her middle name. I just can not confirm this. Would you know of any Jarrett's that could help? I have seen information that says this family was from Lincoln, NC and all John & Elizabeth's children were born in Lincoln Co. NC It appears at least the first 5 were baptized at a church called Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Hickory, NC. Daniel E. & Elizabeth C. did not have a batism record there. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Roby Wilson roby@erols.com
