I am looking for Court Records/Deeds or any other Records for a Jacob Shook before 1800. Does anyone have the books where this information is available, someone that would do a look up for me <g>. Abstracts of Deeds: Lincoln Co, NC by Dr. A. B. Pruitt or CIVIL ACTION PAPERS 1771-1806 Of the COURT OF PLEAS & QUARTER SESSIONS BURKE COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA LAND RECORDS or any other records availabe! I am trying to determine as close as possible when he left Lincoln Co., NC for Buncombe Co., NC. I know he left in time to be on the 1800 census in Buncombe Co., NC. In the area that is now Haywood Co., NC. I really need this information because some people or trying to have Jacob's old house declared a Historial Monument and say it was built in 1768. RWP #S7486 - Lived in LC, NC during the war then moved to BC and Haywood Co., Applied for pension 3 Oct 1833 m. Isabel Wizel (Wietzell). He served under Capt. Daniel Smith and Rudolph Conrad.
