I just found 1845 maps online at www.genealogyatlas.com/1845/ I can now locate the approximate place and see surrounding communities that my ancestors were in Around the 1845 time period. I printed two maps out but they could be slow to load if you have a dial up. Several years ago, the Drum-Wilkinson Clan based in Catawba County authorized the publishing and distribution of a 2-volume family history entitled, "The Drum-Wilkinson Families."
