Mr. Barefoot is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the UNC School of Law. He has served North Carolina as a legislator. He was written books about the Revolutionary Era such as "General Hoke", as well as numerous ghost stories. Everyone interested in local and family history is welcome to join BRGS members on Sunday, October 10, 2004 at 3 p.m. The meeting will be at the Neal Senior Center on H.T. Harris Drive, Shelby, which is just off of Hwy 18 near Ross Grove Baptist Church and Ingles, north of the city limits. The meeting will be held in the Performing Arts Area at the rear of the Neal Senior Center.
