Bob is a former Historical and Genealogical Reference Director from Lincoln County Library. He has also taught Genealogy at Gaston College for several years. He has a vast knowledge of local history from over 50 years of personal research. This Sunday Bob will be speaking on "The Battle of Eutaw Springs, SC". Everyone interested in local and family history is welcome to join Broad River members on Sunday, July 10, 2005 at 3 p.m. Bring a friend! Bring yourself! The meeting will be in the Performing Arts Area of the Neal Senior Center on H.T. Harris Drive, Shelby, which is just off of Hwy 18 near Ross Grove Baptist Church and Ingles, north of the city limits. Cleveland County NC Heritage Books, Volume II will be available after the meeting. A door prize will also be given. BRGS ARCHIVES, 1145 County Home Rd., will be open for research on 2nd and 3rd Mondays, 12 noon to 4 p.m.; 2nd and 3rd Saturdays, 9 am to 1 p.m.; and weekly on Tuesdays from 6 to 8 p.m.
