I am researching the family of my G-G-G-G-Grandfather Samuel Woods of Caswell Co., NC. He lived in Hightowers twp. (SE corner of Co.) on the South Hico River. His will was written in June 1792 and filed for probate in September Court 1793. (Page 80, Will Book 3, Person Co. NC) Listed in will are wife Mary, Sons Andrew, William, John, Samuel, Thomas, and James. (My G-G-G-Grandfather) Listed in the probate are also daughters Margaret (Peggy) wife of William Richmond, and Mary (Polly) wife of Joseph D. Hughes (of Orange Co.) James Woods was married to Elenor Brown and had Williamson B. Woods, Robert W. Woods (my G-G-Grandfather), Romulas Yancy Woods, Sarah Anne (married to Wm. Fitzgerald) and Mary Jane Levina (married to Franklin Morgan). Robert W. and Romulas Y. Woods moved to Greene (now Hale) Co. Alabama around 1850. James sold his property in Hightowers twp. mid 1850's and made his will in Greene Co. in March 1856 right before he died.
