    3. Samuel WALKER died in 1797 leaving a will which named his wife, Elenor, son James, daughters, Elizabeth COBB, Jean KING, Agnes ORR and Elinor Walker. Also named grandsons Samuel and James to which he left his land on Moons Creek. The grandsons sold their land to their uncle Orr once they were adults. We know that James left with his wife Elizabeth ELLIOTT and went to Robertson Co., TN. Elizabeth COBB married Noah and lived in Rockingam Co, NC where a family record was found. Jean's husband, Robert "Robin" was an executor for Samuel's will. They and the ORRs appear to have stayed close to Moon's Creek. Samuel bought some of his land from a John WALKER, thought to be of the Wigton, Scotland Walkers. We haven't been able to connect the two families after years of trying. One possibility is that Samuel came from Cumberland Co., PA. He probably settled in Caswell Co. while it was still Orange Co. We know that he is not the same Samuel that lived on Sandy Creek. Other Walkers lived in the area and we have much information concerning those families as well. We'd love to welcome any Walker researcher to our small group. We have piles of documentation that we'd be happy to share as well. Mary Ann
