Rice, based on William SR., Gooch’s personal will one would undoubtedly think so, but I wonder why a daughter France Rice is not mentioned in John SR., Rice’s will? Some researchers list Frances Rice Gooch’s name as Mary Frances Rice Gooch, and a daughter Mary is mentioned in John SR., Rice’s will, could Mary be the same as Frances. It is all so troubling which Frances goes with which John Rice: John, John SR., “Old John,” and which Thomas Rice: Thomas, Thomas CB, Sheriff Thomas Rice goes with which John Rice??
