Names of parents are unknown. He served in the in the Revolution participating in battles such as Stono Ferry in SC. He lived in Caswell County on Rattlesnake Creek until about 1806. From there lived in Pulaski County,KY on Fishing Creek until about 1816. Then moved to Giles county,TN until 1820. Finally moved across the border to Lauderdale County, AL where he died in 1835. Has a marker placed by the DAR in Mitchell Cemetary in Andersen,AL.
