I am researching a John Hagwood (b. abt 1798 d. ?)and a Mariah Stephens (b. abt 1805 d.11 May 1832) married before 1821 when Elizabeth was born followed by my ancestor Mary Hagwood (b. 1824) married Benjamin Lea Matlock. I do not have John Hagwoods parents, but it is possible he married Elizabeth Stephens - Mariah's sister. Any information would be appreciated. I believe Mariah's father was Benjamin and mother Mary "Polly" Roberts.
