He was born in Atlanta, TX. on 17 Feb. 1886. Everyone called him "Kit". His parents were Matthew James Baucum b. 23 Oct. 1850 in Davidson Co. N.C., d. 30 Jul 1930 in Magnolia. AR. and Marietta (Mary) Victoria Boozer b. 14 Mar 1856 in Lexington Co. S.C., d. 10 Apr 1939 in Magnolia, AR. (both buried in Magnolia City Cem.). Grandpa always told me about the Baucum Cemetery in Atlanta and he talked about Texarkana, alot. He always wanted me to go to Atlanta but it hasn't been possible as of yet. From there on the Baucum side of the family is lost. On Matthew James Baucum's parents I have Baucum who married and Edwards. Would you by any chance have any info about these Baucums? We have 4 members in the immediate family that still carry the Baucum family. Alot of the family was in LA. and AR. If you have any info it would be deeply appreciated.
