Grandmother's side of the family was Lea. Her father was Lewis Lea (spelled this way.) Granddaddy Preston Poteat died in 1949. His father was Jno Poteat and his mother was Rachel (No last name known) They were not married. We believe she was a slave on the Poteat plantation. Preston died in 1949.
