Does anyone on this site have historical knowledge of groupings that left Caswell to settle in Sumner County, TN. I've seen other postings where surnames of settlers traveling together have been discovered or uncovered. My Grisham/Grissom ancestors were among the first to arrive in Sumner. They were connected by marriage and other legal arrangements to the surnames Dorris, Durham, Smith, Richmond, Escue, to name a few. I am desperate to get beyond this 1790 ish time period. I have been unable to get to an LDS center or library where they house NC land grant information, though they are accessible in my area. But with a family of six and two ailing parents as my most important comittment, time just doesn't always allow. Would so much appreciate any help offered. And thank you for your time. Jenny in Texas
