His parents were supposedly William Browning and Catherine Anglin, who had children in Caswell County, NC in the early 1800's. However, Lewis is not listed with those children (all girls) and I am questioning my source for information. Lewis married Elizabeth Vaughn and then moved to Haywood County, NC.
