    3. I have the following reference (below) to McNeill/McNeal and others noted in my database. The Andrew CADDEL is my gggg grandfather (Immigrant from Scotland). The Jean CADDEL is the spouse of Andrew, her maiden name was HENDERSON. Andrew was allied to the LEA family before 1754, to what extent I do not know. Andrew witnessed a deed in Spotsylvania Co., VA in 1751. The other note, Re: Vermillion per will. Where in VA did they come...to Orange (Caswell) Co., NC via Granville Co., NC? 1751 - April 2, Andrew CADDLE (CADDEL) witness land transaction, John Tyre of Albermarle County, VA to John Williamson of Spotsylvania County, VA, at £16 current for 100 acres, St George Parish, Spotsylvania County. Witness: Robert Huddleston, William Mathews, Andrew CADDLE, Edward Land. County records, volume 1, page 184. 1779 - December 20, Deed Book A, page 337, No. 213, to Charles Trim, 440 acres on Double Creek, adjacent to Andrew CADDEL, James Anderson, Alexander Rose, Jesse Vermillion and Robert Dickens, Caswell County, NC. 1778 - December 25, Robert Dickins entered 640 acres on Double Creek of Hico River, bordered by Thomas McNeil, Andrew CADDEL, Thomas Hendrickson and John Dowell, Caswell County Land Entries, page 146, No. 854. 1788 - July 7, William Lea to son-in-law John McNeill, gift of a Negro girl and her child Clary, witnessed: J.
