Barbara Crane Shearman >> Hello Barbara and others interested, Just to offer you some food for thought. I am a Henry Tapscott descendant who hailed from Virginia and settled in Caswell County, NC. His uncle, also a Henry Tapscott, married a Mary Shearman in Lancaster County, VA. The uncle Henry Tapscott was born in 1722, to give you a time reference.
