    3. Hello possible cousins, I recently saw an old query I made on Rootsweb seeking the father of James M. Terrell (the chairmaker) who married Martha Jane Thomas, and I would like to bring possible cousins up to date with my current information. Perhaps there are others who can provide more facts. I had long thought that Soloman Terrell and Nancy ? who lived in Rockingham County during the mid 1850's were James' parents, but I had no proof. Recently, I have met a cousin in Caswell who descends from Soloman and Nancy ? who has in her possession some early research and personal history provided to her by a relative. The Soloman that lived in Rockingham County was a wheelmaker, farmer, chairmaker, etc. in various censuses. This cousin descends from Soloman and Nancy's son William P. Terrell who was killed at Gettysburg. Their history has James M. who married Martha Jane Thomas (not Martha Wiggins who married a James in Wake Co.) as the oldest son of this family. James and Martha were living near Soloman and Nancy ??? in Rockingham County in the 1850 Census. James and Martha married in Rockingham County in 1849. They later moved to Caswell County where he had his chair factory and later worked with two of his sons John William and Samuel Wesley. I descend from Samuel Wesley. Now, I'm on a quest for the father of Soloman Terrell, b. between 1801 and 1802 who died after 1880. Could it be Joseph Terrell who married Sarah Brooks? Could Joseph possibly be the son of John Terrell and Anne Butler? I need more information on them. I know that some of John and Anne's children were in Orange County, NC. I would love to have help with this. Thanks, Mona Smith Supensky
